General Questions
What services does WITT 360 Tree Service offer?
We provide a comprehensive range of tree care services, including tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, stump grinding, emergency tree services, lot and land clearing, tree line cleanup, pasture clearing, and treatments for health issues such as nutrient deficiencies, pest infestations, and fungus.
Tree Removal – We own a bucket truck with a 65 foot reach to aid us in the removal of trees. We also own a 72 foot spider lift that will fit in the hard to fit places such as a 36in. gate or areas our bucket truck cannot be utilized.
Stump Grinding – If a customer would like to see the entire tree removed including the stump we can accommodate that! We can grind any size stump. Generally stumps are ground 6-8 inches below the surrounding landscape grade. For many stumps, the grinding will remove a majority of the root ball and some of the lateral roots. At WITT 360 Tree Service, we use state-of-the-art tree care equipment to safely and efficiently grind stumps anywhere on your property. Our equipment is designed to fit into tight areas, such as through a 3-foot gate, ensuring that we can access and remove stumps in even the most confined spaces.
Tree Pruning – Regular trimming and pruning are essential for maintaining the health and aesthetics of your trees. Our skilled arborists meticulously remove dead, diseased, or overgrown branches, enhancing the tree’s structure and promoting healthy growth.
While pruning your trees, we also provide you with education, helping you understand how to care for your trees. With WITT 360’s tree pruning services, you’ll gain strong, healthy trees and environmental education.
Cable and Bracing – In certain cases we may recommend that branches on a tree are braced, or cabled in the canopy to increase support and minimize tree failure. Any time there is a cable or brace installed in a tree it must be regularly evaluated by a certified arborist to make sure the components are intact, properly installed, and functioning.
Tree and Shrub Planting – We plant according to the International Society of Arboriculture’s best management practices including the proper hole depth and width, backfilling, staking and mulching.
Plant Health Care –The objective of a Plant Health Care (PHC) program is to maintain or improve the landscape’s appearance, vitality, and safety, using appropriate and responsible methods and treatments.
Your trees and shrubs face various challenges, including pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stressors. Without proper care and attention, these issues can compromise the health and appearance of your landscape.
Our plant health care services include diagnosis and assessment, pest and disease management, and pruning and trimming
Emerald Ash Borer Treatments – Our certified arborists can evaluate your ash trees and determine if Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is present. Not every tree is a good candidate for treatment against EAB, so it is important to evaluate each tree on a case by case basis. Treatments for EAB must be done every other year.
Iron Chlorosis Treatments – Iron Chlorosis occurs when trees are unable to absorb sufficient iron from the soil. Iron is a vital micronutrient that plays a key role in chlorophyll production, which is essential for photosynthesis. At WITT 360 Tree Service, we offer professional iron chlorosis treatment to help your trees regain their health and thrive.
Fungus Treatments – Tree fungi can spread quickly and is potentially deadly to your trees if left unchecked. Our certified arborists can help diagnose and stop the spread of damaging fungus.

Emergency Services – There is never a good time for a tree to fail, but unfortunately it does happen. Sometimes it’s a heavy spring snow, a strong wind event, or simply old age and decline that can cause a tree to fail. In the event of unexpected tree failure, we are here to help. Call or submit an estimate request.

What is the difference between an Arborist and a Certified Arborist?
Arborist – A general term for anyone who specializes in tree care or tree services. The term does not specify any particular level of competency.
Certified Arborist – To earn the Certified credential, an arborist must be trained as an expert in all aspects of arboriculture. Because we are certified, you can trust we have the most accurate knowledge to properly care for your trees. Our mission is to provide you with tree care solutions that will improve the health and longevity of your trees. Our training and knowledge, backed by these credentials, empower us to do just that.
Certification from reputable organizations like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Nebraska Arborist Association (NAA) ensures that our arborists are equipped with the latest industry standards and best practices. This certification demonstrates expertise and training in arboriculture, and keeping the certification requires on-going training.
What is the difference between licensed and certified?
Licensed — A licensed arborised has the necessary city, state, or municipality license to perform tree work, and they have the required liability insurance.
Certified — Certification from reputable organizations like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Nebraska Arborist Association (NAA) ensures that our arborists are equipped with the latest industry standards and best practices. This certification demonstrates expertise and training in arboriculture, and keeping the certification requires on-going training.
What kind of insurance should an arborist have?
When hiring an arborist, be sure they carry BOTH Liability AND Worker’s Compensation insurance, the latter of which protects you as a homeowner. Oftentimes, Worker’s Compensation insurance can substantially increase the cost a service provider charges. If you are comparing bids from multiple companies and some of the prices seem very low, this can often be an indicator that the provider is not carrying adequate insurance.

We use the same technique for dropping large limbs to the ground to minimize divots in your lawn.
When special equipment needs to be driven onto your lawn, we also use ground protection mats and plywood to minimize damage.
In the unlikely event that we do cause damage, we’ll take responsibility and make sure the issue is resolved.
What if power lines are involved?
The type, size, and location of the power line, will determine how we will approach performing the work. In some instances, we will be able to safely peform the work without impacting the line. Another option is we can have that line temporarily dropped by the power company. WITT 360 will schedule and coordinate this for you.

Tree Trimming and Pruning
Why is tree trimming important?
Tree trimming, also known as pruning, is crucial for maintaining tree health, longevity, safety, and aesthetics. Proper trimming removes dead or diseased branches, promotes healthy growth, and enhances the tree’s appearance.
Does pruning really provide that much of a benefit to me or my trees?
Yes. Not only to they improve your property value. Pruning is essentially guiding young and medium-aged trees to develop good branch architecture which is key to sustainable tree plantings. Good architecture created through structural pruning is enormously beneficial and should be the primary objective for pruning. Helping the tree develop better architecture can reduce the chance for failure when nature gets nasty. This benefits the tree owner and the tree and should be the main reason we prune. The benefits of pruning far outweigh the negatives when done correctly— with the tree in mind!
When is the best time of year to trim trees?
Dormancy is the ideal time to prune your trees. A trained arborist can identify a live branch versus a dead branch in the winter based on which branches have buds. Buds form at the end of the summer and serve as an indicator for which branches are alive in the winter.
The best time to trim trees can vary by species. Generally, late winter to early spring is ideal, but our certified arborists can provide specific recommendations based on your tree type and condition.
Stump Grinding
What is stump grinding, and why is it important?
Stump grinding is the process of removing tree stumps using specialized equipment. It is important for safety, aesthetics, and preventing pest infestations. Grinding the stump down to below ground level prepares the area for new landscaping or other uses.
Can stump grinding damage my property?
Our stump grinding process is designed to be minimally invasive. We use equipment that fits through tight spaces and ensure that the surrounding area is protected during the grinding process.
Tree Health and Maintenance
What is iron chlorosis, and how do you treat it?
Iron chlorosis is a condition where trees cannot absorb enough iron from the soil, leading to yellowing leaves and poor growth. We treat iron chlorosis through trunk injections to revitalize your trees and treat the deficiency.
What are the signs of an emerald ash borer infestation?
Signs of an emerald ash borer infestation include thinning canopy, dieback of branches, D-shaped exit holes in the bark, S-shaped galleries under the bark, and increased woodpecker activity. Prompt treatment is essential to protect your ash trees.
If other trees in your community have already been diagnosed or are showing symptoms of an infestation, treatment should definitely be considered for your trees as well.
Do you plant trees?
Yes! We work with local nurseries to provide native trees to our area.
We plant according to the International Society of Arboriculture’s best management practices including the proper hole depth and width, backfilling, staking and mulching. We take our planting seriously and feel it is our opportunity to give back to the environment.
What is plant health care(PHC)? Why is plant health care important?
